I’m a fertility specialist, reproductive endocrinologist and reproductive surgeon based in Sydney. I hold the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI), the highest subspecialty qualification in fertility medicine in Australia and New Zealand, and I consult at Genea Sydney CBD and Hurstville. My practice covers the full spectrum of fertility care, from general and unexplained infertility through to reproductive surgery, recurrent pregnancy loss, and fertility preservation. I see both men and women, because understanding both sides of the picture is always the right starting point.

My approach
Fertility medicine is complex, and I believe patients deserve a clear, honest explanation of what is happening and why. When you come to see me, I will take time to understand your situation as an individual, not work through a default protocol. I find that when concepts are explained clearly, most people understand far more than they are given credit for.
I always investigate both male and female factors in parallel. Around 40% of infertility cases involve a male factor, 40% a female factor, and 20% remain unexplained. Treating only one partner without the full picture means losing time.
I also believe in being direct. If something is not going to work, I will tell you that, and I will tell you why. What I will never do is leave you without a path forward.
Qualifications and Experience
I graduated from the University of NSW with a medical degree (BSc Med, MBBS) in 2006, and trained as a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. I then completed an advanced fellowship in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery, followed by a three-year subspecialty fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the dedicated training programme for fertility medicine. I have also completed training in male reconstructive surgery with Cornell University and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
I hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). The CREI requires three additional years of advanced training beyond FRANZCOG and is the highest credential available in fertility medicine in Australia and New Zealand. I also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

I joined Genea in 2018 because I wanted to give my patients the best possible chance of starting a family in the fewest cycles possible. Publications & Research
Recurrent pregnancy loss is an area I have researched and written on extensively. I am one of the lead authors of the first Australasian clinical management guidelines for recurrent pregnancy loss, published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2024. I also contributed a clinical overview of recurrent pregnancy loss to O&G Magazine in 2025.
My published work also covers reproductive surgery, uterus transplantation at RPA Hospital, male infertility, and endometriosis. I co-authored several Australian Doctor How to Treat publications with Dr Anthony Marren.

CREI stands for Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. It is the highest subspecialty qualification in fertility medicine in Australia and New Zealand, and requires three additional years of advanced dedicated training beyond the base specialist qualification, FRANZCOG. It means I have completed the most intensive training pathway available in this field before seeing a fertility patient independently.
I treat the full range of fertility concerns in both men and women, including unexplained infertility, ovulation disorders such as PCOS, endometriosis, tubal factors, recurrent pregnancy loss, male factor infertility, and complex cases where other treatments have not produced the desired result. I also see patients for fertility preservation, including egg freezing and oncofertility, and for second opinion consultations.

Yes, always. In my practice, around a third of cases have an identifiable female factor, around a third have an identifiable male factor, and the remaining third have neither found. I investigate both partners from the start, because investigating only one and assuming the other is fine is one of the most common reasons couples lose time.
Yes. Second opinion consultations are a regular part of my practice. I ask patients to bring existing test results and treatment records so we can build a complete picture without repeating investigations unnecessarily. A second opinion does not commit you to changing specialists. It is simply about making sure you have the information you need to feel confident in your path forward.
