Dr. Ying Li is a highly-accomplished fertility specialist, who adopts a compassionate and personalised approach. His dedication is evident in the time he invests to understand each patient, tailoring precise plans to address their unique fertility concerns and optimise their chances of successful conception.

As a trailblazer in obstetrics, gynaecology, and fertility treatment, Dr. Ying Li is unwaveringly committed to women’s health. He guides patients through every stage of their fertility journey, emphasising collaboration to explain and develop effective management plans. Recognising the overwhelming nature of fertility treatment, Dr. Li underscores the importance of partnering with a Fertility Specialist.

Specialising not only in male and female factor infertility but also in reproductive surgery, recurrent pregnancy loss, and fertility preservation, Dr. Ying Li brings a wealth of expertise to his practice.

After graduating from the University of NSW with a medical degree BSc (Med) MBBS in 2006, Dr. Li further honed his skills as a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. His extensive training includes an additional fellowship in advanced laparoscopic/endoscopic surgery and a three-year sub-specialty fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).

 

Qualifications and Experience

Dr. Ying Li holds prestigious qualifications, including a fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists(FRANZCOG) and a certificate of reproductive endocrinology and infertility (CREI) – the highest credential in fertility medicine in Australia and New Zealand. 

As a board-accredited reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist, Dr. Ying Li currently consults, with operating rights, at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Waratah Private Hospital, Mater Hospital, and Hurstville Private Hospital.

Actively involved in training junior doctors, Dr. Li collaborates with institutions like the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Institute of Academic Surgery at the University of Sydney. He is the director of subspecialty REI training at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and is an subspecialty examiner in REI for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has contributed to numerous academic publications and research in fertility, reproductive surgery, and reproductive endocrinology.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Li, a native of the Southern suburbs of Sydney, finds joy in travelling, spending time with friends and family, and nurturing his interests in ancient history and classical philosophy. Acknowledging the significance of cutting-edge technology, he joined forces with the Genea team in 2018 to provide his patients with the best chances of starting a family in the fewest cycles possible.
